Earlier, the state Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Atiku Bunu, had explained that the 22-kilometre road was awarded to CGC Nigeria Limited at the cost of N2.328 billion. He said that the Dole-Kaina-Buma-Tungar Rafi road, a 17-kilometre road, was being constructed by China Zhoghana Nigeria at the cost of N1.437 billion and work was in progress. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Bagudu also inaugurated the road linking Dole-Kaina-Buma on the Nigerian border with Niger and Benin Republic.
